get one that has the fast action lift, it will go from ground to like 9 inches in one pump, then goes slower as the weight picks up.

 

Make shure you fill it when its all the way down, or you'll spill fluid everywere.

so i fill it up and go jack up my car. works great, let the car down, walk in my garage and i hear a loud pop.
i look out side and there is atf about 30 feet in the air just raining down.
i guess i over filled it...
lost the little blue plug, but i stole one off one of my shitty floor jacks.
jacked up my car again and let it down. works better than it did new.
now i gotta find a plug for my ---- jack.

 

did you fill the jack with it ALL THE WAY down? i did that once

i figured if i put too much in it's just gonna come back out anyway so who cares.
man that ---- flew.

i found the blue plug, it was about 75 feet away by my other car. i was not even looking for it, i went to 7-11 and when i was getting in the car i saw it on the ground.

 

That's why I said fill it with the jack down. Nog

 

Yeah both of my jacks broke about a 2 years ago. One was just a WalMart one, but the other was a good one from sears we had as long as I can remember. Been lifting up the cars with the OEM jacks to change oil/tires. That ---- gets OLD. Got a new one for Christmas. I prefer the ramps I have though. Just couldn't use them with any of my other cars they were so low. Glad the EK it sitting at full ride hight for now.

 

well it only took a few drops of oil with it down. i know how much leaked out cause i had a good size puddle under the jack when it leaked. it was maybe 1/4 pint that leaked. when i jacked it up it sucked in more fluid so i figured it was working.
i knew i put too much in cause i used about half a quart... i just figured it would leak out not shoot out and kill someone.
i'm glad it didn't blow when i was near it.

 

good fix. Just be glad that plug fitting didn't bust out a window in ur other car
