NSFW floor jack is broke, someone help NSFW
i'll post some **** later, too many people in the living room right now.
ok so my floor jack was leaking oil the other day and i realized the handle was screwed too loose (to lower the jack)
i screwed it in a few turns.
so yesterday i'm trying to jack up my moms car and the thing won't lift much. each pump of the handle only pumps the last few inches of stroke. it only moves the car about half an inch each pump of the handle.
i'm sure it would be fine if i could add some oil to it, but i don't know what kind of oil and i don't know where to add it.
there are 3 holes that are plugged that say "do not adjust"
i have had this jack for the last 8 years and i really don't want to buy a new one now.
anyone know how to fix this pos?

Re: floor jack is broke, someone help
it uses plain old hydraulic fluid but let me tell you ive had 2 of those michelin jacks, they rock when they work but when it starts doing what yours is its all over. throw it out and buy a new one. trust me i spent an hour trying to get it to work again. they are pretty cheap, last time i bought one they were 59.99 but that was a while ago and i havent seen any since then.

i have a ---- ton of motor oil sitting in my garage, only one quart of atf and no hydraulic oil. i'm gonna fill it with some motor oil.
if it can last till i get a job that would be perfect.
oh and maybe i should clean it off a little, i didn't even see the blue rubber plug
