Not your usual chassis of choice...

Recently worked on a local car that I thought some of you guys would like.
Pretty much puts the sleeper in 'sleeper' O0.
Very clean and taken care of, and from the outside, you would never guess that it would hand most cars thier ass.

Your 'standard' H22, pistons, rods, and a gt30

HT might frown on a such a 'small' turbo for a H22, but in reality, its perfect for a fun daily driver that can pull stumps at anywhere in the rev range. Anytime you tip into the throttle, it spools.....and makes some serious TQ.

Dustin might recognize it from the engine bay, its a 90 Prelude.
I didnt take many pics, but I did have my vid cam w/ me ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_1hmdfieOI
The Evo was stock turbo on 30psi w/ meth injection.
The GTO was an LS2 @ 11:1 (Owner said he shaved the heads) and some fatty loping cams that sounded Really ------- good.
All in all, its pretty sweet to roll into 5th on the freeway have 370ft-lbs on tap.

I really liked working on this car, not your standard gutted EG.

The Evo that he was racing in the vid was the "Street King" It has Ran 11.98 best so far on Meth... (He also CLAIMS to be the quickest Impoirt in Skagit county)... LOL.

Mitch handed him his ass.. (Aaron with the evo is at the burlington meets i believe sometimes...). His quote was that he expected a 500 hp car to come around him harder... LOL. ---- I was there, and..... Mitch spun spun some more... and when Dave hot the Nog control Switch, pwned the Evo...

After which he came up to me making sure Id be ready for the EVO with a new turbo, mani and some other DSM bullshit ( He neer came down to "defend" his crown while I was breaking trannys and such ------y)....like Im supposed to be ------- scared or something....LOL. If Mitch would have been on drag radials, it would have been REALLLY bad for the EVO, After seeing the race, Im sure my car would be even worse for him.

I cant wait. The suspense is killing me... Kind of in the way that a 4 hour erection does...

I hope it lasts....

I talked too Aaron a few weeks ago and said he was taking a loan out too buy a gt30R and a tranny for the evo haha

Wow, so a 250 whp D16 in a CRX would flay him alive. What a flaming faggot.

Link him to this thread, could you? I'd like him to know his place on the food chain.

leed 11-25-2007 04:11 AM

Re: Not your usual chassis of choice...

I dont think a 250whp D would do it. Aaron's Evo rips pretty good, and he's not shy about the launches, hahah.

I must say, the highlight of my night was working the high/low boost switch from the passenger seat. :y

Tom-Guy 11-25-2007 04:15 AM

Re: Not your usual chassis of choice...

I've seen LS CRX on 10 psi go 12.0, a 250 whp D16 would do it.

That guy in the EVO has thought he has been HOT ---- for a few years now, Has been beat buy Several cars and then he has turned down tons of races he knew he would loose. Spike He stands no chance. Of course he will take you from the dig and be in the lead for about 4 sec while you get traction and smile while you fly buy him with some chick blowing you.

All I can say is, it's about time for Prelude's to get the respect too. >:D

Ya I know a copuple people whom have known him for a while... Since he had the 1.8t VW. LOL.

He was talking about getting a (Sheppard) tranny yes, and originally some green turbo upgrade for the DSMs. I talked him into the gt30r I had thought, but when I talked to him the other night he mentioned some other setup (like a complete kit kind of thing), im pretty sure the snail included with the kit is right along the lines of the 30r though. Its a 12.00 car (has run 1 11.98-116ish, yet to be backed up)....

The setup's being done at WORLD ONE.... Shop built car... Cool..... ::)

As it sits its pretty much stock with some Crower lumpsticks in it, ameth kit, and the MBC on NOG settiing.... just as Dave mentioned. LOL, He insists its the fazstest import in Skagit county... hahaha, I dont believe that ----, maybe I should move, no.

Jasin with the GTO is super nice... Car runs 12.2s, He keeps bitchin about the top end tune being ----, and has to take care of it before the Jug o' joy goes into effect.

AArons cool, sometimes I dont understand some of his outlook, but then again, I can only imagine what mine must look like to others....

250 whp d in a 88 crx hf with suspension tires and being gutted is a easy 11.5-12.5

so i got to race an STI it looked stock, it was white with a decent looking white female in the passenger seat, driver was some preppy homo that kept looking over at me while i was pacing him, i gave him the move, i stayed next to him in 3rd gear feathering the throttle, shifted to 4th still next to him, he really thought he had a chance until i floored it!! haha i love this car....

HMTers don't know how to align their cars. The 12.5 end of the spectrum is doable on streets.

Pffft, tires and alignment dont matter when you've got a 10lb D ready to turn you out.
