My bicycle!
All I was saying is 300hp/295tq isn't too great when it weighs 3600lbs. And I'm sorry you drive a Volvo, JD, I really am :'( :'( for you. |
Re: NOPI Phoenix SUCKED!
You do realise the brick era Volvos are cheaper, more luxurious, more reliable, and about as fast as a stock Civic? They're great beaters, dude, and cops don't hassle you in them.

Re: NOPI Phoenix SUCKED!
make it simple
street classes: uni-body, no tube-front or fiberglass front ends. working lights, stock dash, weight based on displacement, no alchohol, no lexan, no wheelies bars. real street ----, no factory sponsors FWD: 4 cyl only All-motor Turbo or N2O 2 power adders RWD/AWD: 4 or 6 cyl and 2 rotar rotaries 3.0l max displacement all motor turbo or N2O 2 power adders pro classes: tube frame, stock wheelbase, weight based on displacement almost anything goes pretty much FWD: 4 cyl only All Motor turbo, N2O, blower any combo RWD: 4 or 6cyl and 2 rotar rotaries 3.0l max displacement All motor turbo, N2O, blower any combo keeps the pro classes smaller, for better competition. and plenty of classes for street guys. any of the big name shops building street cars will go for the 2 power adder class or the N/A class. most average guys on the street that are fast will be running just turbo anyways, all motor street guys will have some tough competition but peopel that build N/A motors have deep pockets anyways. there are always people who dont like the way classes break down no matter how you do it but this seems to keep it simple and quite competitive. and if you have the balls, the machine and the safety equipment trying the next class up is on you |
Re: NOPI Phoenix SUCKED!
Also make a no stickers or names on the sides of the car rule for anything other than the pro cars. That would help a ton in keeping it more affordable.

Re: NOPI Phoenix SUCKED!
Guys, ---- the pro classes. They're only there to divert attention from the racers which import racing became popular. If you wanna be a pro drag racer, go to the NHRA powerade events. Import racing isn't about your fucken renegade tractor and and matching helmet.

Re: NOPI Phoenix SUCKED!
NOPI was "hot" in like 1999. It's 2007, they need to find something else to do. Nobody cares about them really anymore... they should start selling "drift" stuff. What on this green earth would posess someone to change their stock, in perfect working order doors on their Civic to "Z0mG lAmB0 d00rs!"
so stupid. :l |
