They don't have many big companies investing in it anyway, because they're smart enough to know theres nothing coming back from the 150 tickets they sold all weekend. Replace the small amount of "corporate" dollars they have coming in with 2000 fans, more racers, and food sales and the "corporate" dollars they have now ain't ----. |

I went to one NOPI event. I wont waste my money on that ---- again. Ive never seen so many posers in one place before. Felt dirty afterwords...

Just your typical local shops and import small business doing there thing I pray for the day it comes back. i'd like to go to a BOTI event. the only thing that sucks around here is all the damn rich kids, they all go to the strip with sti's and evo's thinking they are drag cars. there are too many yuppies around here for there to be an event thats not over run by daddy's wallet.

I remember meeting jesus padilla before he ran the all motor class two years in a row.His 3 rotor all motor 1g rx7 was kicking everyones ass at least by a 1/4 second.They outlaw it saying its to big for the class cuz everyones bitching cuz he has no sponsors.Next year he goes faster with a 2 rotor and can skip two events due to running out of money/enough points to be a no show.---- his trailer had 1 backup motor and tranny that looked pretty rough.He did it for fun and always lost money even winning for the year with no sponsors.Nobody believes in poor racers till they run the ---- with brains not technology.

I didnt make it to firebird this year, aside from ti being st. pattys day and me in no condition to drive... maby next year. Getting some track time in at PIR is the main thing on my agenda this year.

its funny that when i go to rally-x events how little evo's and sti's show up. teh most i ever saw was 2 sti's and one evo at the same event. on the east coast if you wanna go to any type of racing event thats isnt full of rich kids and total ------- tools, you have to go to roadracing events and rally & auto-x.

shits gotten to hyped up now, tube fram chassis and full fiberglass?? thats not racing imo nopi is gay, and ---- girls racing.. haha i remember back in like 1997-98 going out to this local cruise on the east side called the "berlin turnpike" and hearing a blow off valve.. everyone was like "wow man you here that, wtf was that. thats awesome" of course it was some completly stock dsm. but back then you never heard ---- like that. or saw imports cruisin around. it was awesome. now adays it sucks.. the fast and the furious killed it imo. i remember when like hcp/hasport? or whatever, were sellin mounts for a crx b series for like 800 bucks.. ---- was just so new back then. tryin to find my old add i had from like 98"... found this though..
