Nissan Tuners, Where you at?
Anyway, my honda project is just a money pit that isn't going to be done anytime soon, so I figure I'll turbo the wifes car. lol
It's a 2000 Sentra SE 2.0 5 speed. It's peppy as ----, with really short gears. I want to do a 48/60 on it at about 8psi, but I'm confused on the best solution for the engine management. I don't know what these guys use that's better than the afc, but I need to know.
I also don't know much about the SR20 that's in it. The mechanical limits, ect. Any nissan tuners wanna fill me in?

Re: Nissan Tuners, Where you at?
i had a nx2000 with an sr20de in it, to my knowledge, they have remained the same from 1990 to present, the sr20de is a 2.0L dohc inline 4 cylinder with 140hp@6400rpms 132ft/lb torque@4800, compression is 9.5:1, the sr20de came in the nx2000 and nissan se-r, not sure on the newer models. that motor also came as an sr20det which was turbocharged and intercooled, so maybe you should get the turbo and intercooler off of one of those or at least model your kit after it. specs on this motor are:
S15 SR20DET
2.0L DOHC VVT
Turbo Type: T-28, 60 trim 60 mm BCI-1 compressor in T-04B housing
Injector Size: 480cc
Power (hp): 250 @ 6400 rpm
Compression Ratio: 10.0:1
stock boost is 8psi
here are some links that may be helpful
www.se-r.net
http://www.xatracing.com/nissanS15sr20det.html
hope that helps you out.
p.s. i have sr20de head, intake manifold with injectors, cams, pistons and rods, stock exhaust manifold, and throttle body if you wanted them for extra's i will sell all of that stuff together or seperate.

Re: Nissan Tuners, Where you at?
i know the SR20 is stout as hell. lots of potential. i think there is some kind of site... search around for nissanperformancemag...something like that. also hit up jimwolfe.com (also search) and if you want everything from a SR20DET, and can wait about 5 more weeks, i can get that to you right away.

Re: Nissan Tuners, Where you at?
i'm pretty sure the 2000SE sentra only came with the G18DE...1.8L. nothing even close to the SR20DE...which was only in xome of the NX's and SER sentras and 200sx of the mid 90s. it was phased out before the newer models.
as for the G18DE...good luck, I'm not that into Sentras(the VG and VQ motors are my niches with Nissans), but I've never heard of or seen anyone "try" to do anyhting with those G series motors.
as for fuel management I've installed Emanages on 2 turbo Maximas and have had nothing but success with that. finding a decent MAF based tuning system is hard and Emanage does quite well in my buddy's Maxima.

Ya good motor that is fairly beefy. Trannies had some problems though. My fiance has a 93 nx2000, the thing is a lemon though. no offence to your wifes car.
I'm sure that it its not the same obd generation but there is a guy in my town with a nx2000 with a nissan t25 on it. On Greddy E-manage he lays about 210 at the wheel and put down 14.5s with full interior, ricy body and big sterio
