Sounds like all the mexicans and puerto ricans I have to deal with. I borrowed a freind's wideband and moates burner to tune one of these dude's car, and now all of a sudden I have all of them wanting me to tune their ----. And no matter how many times I tell them I don't have the wideband or burner anymore, they still call me. :P That and the fact that when I did go to tune his car, he didn't even have the turbo on yet Now I just ignore them all, simple as that

Damn.........people getting their ---- tuned by friends and they are screwing them over and then asking for money back?

Did you tell him how much it cost to get a tune?

I always tell people when I work on their car "go and ask how much to do what I"m doing for them and check back with me.

I gotta say, Joey is a very nice guy as said before. He never said anythign about money when I was tuning, but I knwo he was waiting for it even though i gave him hell of a time with my boost controller.

J. Davis is more than fair to everyone I know.

The only crappy part is that he's always busy and his times can be a "little" off with gathering his equipment....oh yeah and side tracking (but I love that)

I wouldn't let it bother me Joey. :thumbs up to you:

I manage a dyno shop in VT(Quintin Brothers) we mainly do SCT tuning on mustangs. I charge accordingly. If customers choose to ignore what I tell them they need in order to get a perfect tune, i'll charge them for every minute to fix the junk i'm brought. I don't give quotes either. $100 an hour, for how ever long it takes me. I've refused to tune some "hack jobs" in the past as well. You can't polish a turd.
I've charged out over 10 hours in diagnostics and tuning without batting an eye. In the end, they'll have a perfect tune, but I wont work for free.

It really pisses me off when the dirt-cheap hack shop down the street whose cars wind up at our place, and the customers don't understand why they pay you more dinero for "the same" work? most times the customers realize the error of their ways for bringing the cars to them in the first place, but sometimes their just cheap scumbags

WOW, and I thought you were just kidding about the $$$ part... I would gladly give you more now knowing that you were consistantly getting screwed by other people. What a jack tail! If the car isnt ready just dont bother... He needs to quit whinning and grow up. A reality check is in order, you provided said service without implying a reward for your said service. He received the said service and brought you a piece of junk to work with. At the end of the day a turd will still be a turd no matter what you polish it with.

+1 Vouch for person being ignored in past week! J/K

-TPS adjust did not work out the tip in issue BTW!
PM me a resolution. .44V,.45,.48,.5V no workie.

You're on the right path. Someones time costs more than anything, and he got your time. Most people would feel sorry for him and try to "work something out", but standing your ground and going on the offensive is the correct path. Good work.
