I'm pretty sure that the built automatic supra trannies are going to launch harder and faster as well as shift perfect more often than someone trying to put down that power using a clutch. In stock form a good driver could shift faster than the automatic version.

I don't honestly believe you've driven or riddin in a mkIV supra. That stock auto tranny will shift faster.

Ridden in a stock IS300, and a fully built IS300 automatic that put down like 575, and a stock mkIV Supra TT automatic. The IS300 built shifted way faster than the stock TT, and Justen hit 9.85 1/8th I believe.

true ridden in both a 96 TT 6 speed and a 95 TT auto and the about runs about .3 seconds quicker in the quater. Then again if your putting down 1300hp a slush box might not be a great idea. Id rock a auto TT. I'd rather have the mans but damn at 50k$ they can keep em.

Dont the manual's have more hp?... I know for a fact they have the stronger rearend.

nope, You line a 95 TT auto and a manual up and you will see the auto win everytime. I had this debate with a buddy of mine too and being that his stepdad owns both he himself said out of the box the auto is faster. However any mods you throw at with negate the ET diff. Im sure it's been talked about alot on some toyota/supra forums.
