Decided to make my first Pale Ale. I hope it doesn't turn out too bitter. This is the first time i have used the "blow off" setup where the krausen (foam) gets pushed out of the carboy instead of settling back in. This is my biggest batch yet at 6 gallons. Should end up somewhere around 6% alcohol content. 3-5 days in the primary fermenter and then another maybe 15 days in the secondary before bottling.

I was going to take more pictures i guess there really isnt much to see. More to smell than see.

we tried this once. turned out nasty s ---- and made a big dead spot in the yard. probaly cuz we did everything wrong.

Nice...my roommate and i started a 6 gallon container of Mead the other day....it should be ready to go in about 5 months and at around 15% alcohol
