That could be a nice little sleeper. Good luck with the project and I'm sure you'll find all of the info you need here.

Re:newbie to HMT.com

mild build? what will that consist of? and where are you from?

on that A6, you could reach 200hp, with a good turbo set-up, and some good fuel management.

hey im a newb to! ;D

i have a 2003 cavalier ls sport with 2.2L ecotec. i heard of this site from jon fisher(airtonics) who is a member of a club i belong to. i am ordering a complete turbo kit from cavalierconnection.com which comes with a turbo header instead of a mani. just thought i would say hello to everyone too.

that car definately has sleeper potential, that would be sweet.

yeah.. there really isnt a whole lot out there for my car yet, kinda a limited selection of where i can get a kit from.. my buddy is making all of intercooler piping. all i need is a Fmic. the people im getting the kit from want 1000 dollars to buy their intercooler and piping kit, which is a rip off.

necro 01-13-2005 09:26 AM

Re:newbie to HMT.com

Make ur own piping and get a fmic from johnny racecar. He has some good fmic, but it also depends on how much hp u want to run. Or go to the junkyard and get starion ic.

Re:newbie to HMT.com

i like that hatch, its clean and stock, now go bust ass with your turbo setup

whiterice 01-13-2005 12:48 PM

Re:newbie to HMT.com

the hatch looks great. did the honda caps need anything to fit the rims?
check into the price for zdyne and the price for chipping/turboedit.

Racintweek 01-13-2005 01:01 PM

Re:newbie to HMT.com

the VW hub center is about 1.5mm bigger all i had to do was bend the tabs out a little

i think the Zdyne was like ~$900
i am not very comp literate so the idea of burning chips isnt very appealing to me, but it has ever been fully explained to me either,i only know what i have read

an eprom guide for idiots would be nice

arent the si bumpers the same? all it has is just a freakin front lip. but u can just buy that and put it on. your car looks like mine with no rust :'(. but it was 700 for a 90 std. i think it was fair. good luck!!!

Re:newbie to HMT.com

as far as i know aftermarket OE replacement bumpers for EF's are the same texture

the true OEM Si ones have less texture than the STD/DX ones so the paint sticks better and has a smoother finish

right now for the winter(or lack thereof) i am running 14x5.5 VW steelies, blk w/ silver lip from factory

there is only one set of alloy wheels that i will ever use
ATS cups, other than that it'll be steelies

Just because its tubular instead of cast dosn't mean that its called a header. It's still a turbo manifold.

your avatar is very disturbing and very gay, sorta like a carnival horror picture or something bro, but welcome to the sight, nice clean little hatch.

they are both exhaust manifolds cast iron steel dont matter how long or small it is. Turbo manifolds. yeah and that cavailer i dont know. there was a cavailer club where i live called C4 Chicago Custom Cavailer Crew. all faggots. 1 was boosted but the kid was gay. dont really like cavailers that much. but if you got a nice boosted one i guess

necro 01-14-2005 11:27 AM

Re:newbie to HMT.com

There's a guy that has a boost cavalier in the project section. U should read up on what he did and maybe it could give u some ideas.

Re:newbie to HMT.com

i am a member of j-bom(jbodies of michigan). we have like 20-30 members we have 3or4 supercharged cars, and 3(it was 4 when airtonics had his sunfire tuboed :'( ) turbo cavs (one of which is 330whp)and a N/A sunfire that runs a sub 12 1/4 mile . mine will have about 250whp. i love the ecotec engine it has great torque and is super light weight, that is why i bought my car.
necro, if you are talking about airtonics(jon fisher) i know him he is in our club (^^the car is no longer turboed), and that isnt the same engine i have, that is the ld9 2.4. i have a 2.2 ecotec.
