OK My name is Shane. Im new and wanted to let you guys know what im about. I drive a 1990 Honda Civic HB that iv done all the work on. I love this car and its the only car that ill never sell. Its not much to look at but its mine so please dont rag on it.

Heres whats going on, I dont know what to do to my car. I mean spray or turbo? I know this is HMT's so you guys are partial to turbos. But my goal right now is only 250-300 and its alot cheper to spray. I could probly build a cheap junk yard kit for under a 1000 but I can spray for 500 or less. I guess I will just give you guys my specs and see what yall say.

If you guys say spray what is safe to un on a stock block B16? and if you say turbo what PSI can you SAFLY run on a Stock B16 Block?

don't ask what psi, ask what hp. psi has nothing to do with durability, and the amount of power a turbo makes varys from turbo to turbo. do some more research, i recommend about a months worth before you post again, unless there's porn involved

Car isn't that bad, obviously needs some cosmetic work but its no big deal. Just like you said, everyone here will be biased towards boost, I say boost it. That way, when you get tired of your current goals, you can easily upgrade to something more powerful. Your block will be able to handle your goals.

Dont ever ask to be "Taken easy on" cause that wont happen here. Do post some porn like 90boost said and the best advice I can give you is read read read read. just start with all the FAQ's here and make sure you read the one thats labled "SEARCH NOT WORKING" or something it will show you how to search here to find ----.

and by the way. IMO I would boost before I sprayed. The power is there all the time and doesnt need to be re-filled.

Of course we're going to say turbo. Spray might be $500 less, but how often do you have to refill the nitrous tank? And also, turbo is power that's always there, nitrous is not. It really comes down to personal preference.

ive had both nitrous and turbo.

i would definatly go with turbo.

first of nitrous cost a ---- load of $$$$ to fill.
its a pain in the ass to go to the back and open the bottle.
and there is nothing like the sound of a turbo spooling,

I dont want a rice rocket. I also dont have a CRX. I want a car that will take me to work every day and have good power. I dont like body kits, or big wheels, and I hate chrome. I like this noob....Man Like some others said psi doesn't so much matter as the size of the turbo..THink of a turbo like a fan a small one like people put on a desk or something doesn't move alot of air just like a small turbo doesn't move as much air but in it's own little outlet it builds boost at ten psi the little fan/turbo is still moving just a little bit of air.
Now take a big garage fan/turbo it'll blow a small child or 90 pound weakling off his feat. and moves alot of air.

Now you ask yourself well how the ---- does it move way more air but still have the same psi? the answer is veolocity of said air. It's an equation I don't remember it right now but the principle is this.

A small t25 moves a small amount of air at 10 psi in a 2.5" charge pipe. at a slower speed / now a big gt40 turbo at 10psi is really cranking that air out fast its moving air way faster then a t25. So at the same pressure level your getting way more cfm....And an engine is just a big air pump so the more air that passes through it the more hp you make.
then the more fuel your going to need to keep the proper Air/Fuel ratio. So thats when bigger injectors and a 255lph fuel pump come into play.

wow, what a warm welcome newbs get these days. anyways to answer your question i would do both spray and turbo, spray the hood the same as the rest of the car and boost the motor. lol. just ------- with you. but seriously you can boost a car reliablely for around 600-800 all depending on what you want to skimp on. like what somebody said earlier boost is always there and never needs to be refilled, just step on the gas. oh and post porn or naked pics of your sister.
