the only probelem with that is his is a 96 so its going to be alittle diffrent. and does that engine have the intake and exaust on the same side of the motor? wtf. the one he has has intake in the front exaust in the back. theres little room to work with back there. you might be able to ge a snail in there somewhere. you might try to remotly locate that turbo. since theres crap for room back there but theres tons infront of the block. if you remotely located your battery. there would be tons of room to work with underthere. should be fun when your done with it ;D

umm...4k tranny would be from a 84 GTI... 16v Passat's had "02A" code trannies in them. but to swap that in you would need the pedel assy, clutch master and slave w/lines, shift box and cables....there is probly more. it would diff be a good idea to do if you plan on making some real power (along with a Peloquin/Quafie diff)...

i got an 02A and 02J for sale if anyone needs one ;)

1.8T swap wouldnt be a bad idea either...
