they are making a SOHC 1.8 but it will only put out 140hp. that will be the base engine in the new coupe that is coming out

The new 2006 Civic (sedan and coupe) engine will be a 1.8 liter SOHC making 140HP. The new 2006 Civic SI engine will be 2.0 liter DOHC I-VTEC making 197HP.

they would never give the HONDA civic more hp than the ACURA integra rsx when comparing top models

thats like giving the maxima more power than the g35

its pure marketing

yeah at most they might have gotten 200 out of it ------- with the motor in a concept only playground.
