New Project Car
Well we bought this car 2 weeks ago (my dad paid for, but me, dad and 2 bro-in-laws) for a long extended project. 1948 Ford Tudor Coupe. We're not too sure what the plans are for it yet, but Chop, Shave, Drop, and about a 400-450hp BBC or SBC. I'm hoping for fuel injection as in the end the car will probably be turned over to my mother.
It helps when I bro-in-law is a mechanic, and the other is a body mechanic!
Kinda Goofy looking, but that will change!
How do you like that interior!
Hacked up front end, the shock mounts are 1/4 steel, flame cut and bolted to the frame using 3/8" Grade 2 bolts!!!
Has a Mustang 2 rear end in it.
Just a little rust. COME ON IT A '48
WORST axle mounting EVER!
Come and sit on that!
Anyone one want a good turbo project? You can have it!
All in all for a 1948, the frame is mint! Everthing is there(not in A1 condition but there) We even have an original horn bigger then hotsex's turbo and the original A-Pillar search light!

Re: New Project Car
Well, the decision hasn't been set in stone, but my dad is going to be paying for most of it, and in the end, which 4 of us gets it? so we fiqure we might as well give it to her, and if she doesn't want it, one of us can then buy the title.
But Why give to your mom? What mome doesn't deserve a 450whp Hotrod? She loves driving my dads 1970 Dodge Dart.
I believe it is a flat head 6. I wanted to stay a little nostalgic and go with a mildly built Flat Head 8, but no one agreed with me so the Chevy drivetrain was choosen because of the readily availablity and ease to work with. We have already sources 4 Brand New Chevy Crate motors. 350's, 4bolt mains, Vortec Heads, Dizzy, Wires, Intake, Carb, rated for about 400 fhp, all for about 3800.00 CAN a pop. They were built for CANam Racing series here in canada, brought into a dealership, but then never pickup by the customer.

Along side of this, might be my bro-in-laws 1926 essex if he ever finishes the 1972 HOnda Bike he is working on. We have alot of old things laying around with the family. Include my bro-in-laws Ultra Rare, Inherited 1968 Shelby GT350 Conv. 1 of 404 made and 1 of 14 left in north america. Apraised so high(ALL orginal) that he can't afford the insurance. I wish my Grandpa left me something like that!!
