I wanted an xB, but they wanted $4,000 down and payments of $489 , they wanted to do a 3 year loan, refused to do a 5 year one, why, who knows.....I wanted no down and low payments, I ended up putting $600 and payments of $330 on the Element, low interest rate, but long loan, which is fine, I'll probably end up trading again in 2 years or so..... :P

Elements are hands down the best small SUV on the market in that price range. They get similiar fuel economy to the others in that market, yet actually have useful space. Every other mini SUV has you flipping down the seats to load things in. So lets say you need to pick up some stuff for fixing up your home, its going on top of your backseat. Great way to ruin your seats. The Element has everything flip up and out of the way. Not to mention its basically all plastic. According to Honda you can actually take a hose and spray the damn interior to clean it up. Very efficient design. Ugly, but efficient.
The worst part of the Element is the poor fuel economy. You are looking at 20mpg regardless what the EPA says, some even say less. Thats pretty crappy for a 4 cylinder but none of the other mini suvs are doing much better so its a toss up.
