hahahahah at $500 a month, gas prices as of right now, it would take 3years :1....sure, but I'm not paying 17k right away....that's the difference. Still it is more convenient and comfortable for what I'll be doing.

I found this, but no way in hell I would pay that much for a kit, rather lose a leg or something....

$500 a month is a lot...

right now i get about 150-175 miles for 20 bucks of super (its about 3.25-3.40 here)

and i put 20 bucks in about every 3 days. so i spend about 220 bucks a month in gas. (for work only) probably around 300 if you count weekends and stuff

See I get corrupted easy.....gotta stop searching before getting any ideas...... :-\

Yeah I drive right now about 40 miles to work, plus anything else I do in the week and weekend, I have to fill up the tank every 2.5 days, almost 3 times a week, at $45-$50 everytime. So it might be even a little more than $500. The power plus AWD plus the long drives are killing me. It was ok while the gas was around $2-$2.50, but at $3-$3.50 it gets old.
Also now work will be about 70 miles

Maybe, but not really, the initial price is so high you have to wait a few years to see any savings really, hybrids are stupid

:y

The only thing that worrys me on the insight is, what happens when the batterys go bad, or the electric motors. I can't see those being cheap at all.

Yeah.. I've seen many people that have gone quite a few miles (almost to 200,000) and didn't have to replace the batteries. And with a few modifications some of them got 85+ LMPG

You're right. I guess I missunderstood that you were only needing better gas mileage and spent 17,000. For better gas mileage only may I suggest a 1987 honda accord? lol.
