New guy here, not honda tough

I´ve been looking at this site/forum for a while now, like a bible, but only now decided to join...

I know this site is more honda orientated... but i ask you to broad your mind and welcome a suzuki swift gt-i with a "HMT" build-up going on...

I´ve allways loved cars... and decided to make them my life, i´m a SAAB mechanic and a true "motorhead"...

When i recived my license, all i wanted was a honda, but fortunatly at that time a nice swift gt-i came into my hands... car that i truly love... been trough 4 already...

Currently i´m turbocharging mine with a complete home made setup, the turbo is from a saab, intercooler from a vw, custom hand made log style manifold, saab bov, etc...

Hope you like the car and help me out on doing this properly...
Here´s my URL with full details on the car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/557019 turbo details on page 5...

Cool, so I'm assuming that those engines are 75mm bore too, what's the stroke? Looks just like a Honda motor only it spins the right way. :)

those babies have soo much potential under that little engine. i have seen those running 13's at 2600 meters above sea level.

Those are cool little cars. A local guy that owns a garage (and has tons of sweet cars. SWEET CARS) has one of those for his daily driver.

Re: New guy here, not honda tough

linkmustang - i´m a SAAB mechanic...

alpalwal - i think it stands for gran turismo injection

2tonehatch - yeap, i´m really happy with the suzi, great litlle fun car...very fast and reliable...

nonvtec - Bore: 74.0 mm, Stroke 75.5 mm, yes, the engine is very similar to honda b16/18 dohc engines...

SinisterCRX - great little reliable and economic car, here´s a very comprehensive forum on all swifts, everything you wanted to know, and more, about this cars at www.teamswift.net... but for me the GT-i is the only one worth having...
But if you want a car for commuting, the GA´s the one...

I have some questions regarding my setup here: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...4668#msg594668 any help would be welcome...

Pretty much the same as a Geo Metro if I'm right and done my researching in the right places. Just a better engine and susp but same platform I think.

G13B is one of the stoutest engines ever designed. Saw one once, stock bottom end with Vitara pistons to lower the CR, making 375 whp off a T3/T04E.

I like your car, been wanting one.

I smashed the ---- outta one of those in my huge dodge workvan like a year ago. Poor old ppl driving were all bloody and crying and ----. Really scared the ---- outta me. That thing was so mangeled.. I think i hit it at about 50-55 while they were sitting in the middle of the road at a dead stop. Needless to say the van was not nearly as damaged as the lil swift.

those things come with pretty high compression, 10.2:1 i believe. you have lots of room to work with since it didnt came with a/c. if you cut out that swiss cheese grate thing that next to the radiator there is a massive space for a turbo. wiehing in at ~1800lbs, 250hp should get you deep into 12's if not quicker.

Yeah, but if you'd hit a CRX, the occupants of it would have been dead.

THX guys...again... it´s a nice little car, with only few mods i can beat on civic´s ESI´s and the VTI´s only pass me above 80/100km/h... I´m from Europe you see...

Yes i know, but a replacment comes really cheap ^-^
I have a stock 99 Subaru one, do you think it would be better?

Yes, there are a few powerfull swifts out there, a 300bhp one holds AUS FWD record on street tyres with a 11sec pass...
I already have the vitara pistons, 75mm and 8.5:1 c/r VS. 10:1 stock...But it´s for a second stage, right now the engine will be stock internally and will only run 7psi max...

More pics for you guys, of the swifts i had:

they are also like the geo storm GSI..they have an awsome platform to...they have the 4AGE toyota motor..very good to build from...same motor from the AE86 Corolla or AW11 MR2..actually i think the swift may also have the 4AGE...maybe...

Wrong. Storm is an Isuzu power plant.

Wrong. Swift is a Suzuki engine.

The Geo that got the Toyota mill was the Prizm, it was a Corolla clone. It got 4A-F and 4A-FE up until the later years I haven't bothered to look at, never the DOHC -GE.

The AE92 Prism GS-i got the smallport 4A-GE. Apparently, they're pretty rare though.

This car is the same base as geo metro, pontiac firefly, chevrolet sprint, suzuki swift and subaru justy... Everything is interchangeable between models...

There so many(and growing) enthusiasts based on this platform, that i´ve seen v8 geo metro, a rwd rotary mk1 geo metro, twin engine turbo swift... etc...

Here´s an amazing example...300+ bhp RWD mk1 swift gti conversion on custom chassis/suspension and BMW gearbox and axle... http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?t=9156

Dude your 1 liners that are so random and sometimes dont even make sense need to go. ::)

G13BT - Nice project, and welcome to HMT. Even though I'm not a very big fan of that style of car, it definatly looks like a fun project. Be sure to post up some pics when your done and a fatty 13in wheel peg leg burnout too ;)

I don't know why people think the Justy runs a Suzuki drivetrain?? Maybe because it's a 3 cylinder. It's a Subaru engine, an EJ12, first of the EJ series. MUCH better than the previous EA and ERs.

Maybe i shoul have said european market justy: http://www.hoot-uk.com/content/launc...aru/justy.html

Did anyone see the url of the 300bhp RWD monster, the fabrication going one and that amazing engine build up?
