Default Need you Noggzez inputz!

Looking at a GSR and found one with a Salvage title. Haven't looked at it yet, but was wondering how much I can low ball this guy right off the bat, becuase of teh salvage title?

He has it listed at $5400 with 86K.

KBB says Salvage Title = Poor condition and will not value the car. They do give the following

Excellent = 7415
Good = 6835
Fair = 6115
Poor = nuttin

So let me know what you nogz would pay for this car.

I was always told a salvage title = half what the car would be with a clean title right off the bat.

from his asking price i doubt you could low ball him anything less then 4500. if thats what i was looking for i would do it. just make sure you test drive it at high speeds and just look over it like any other car. i have personally owned at least 6+ salvage or rebuilt titled cars. the only one i had a problem with was a miata that didnt like high speeds. but still was very nice. all the salvage cars i have bought look ------- great and a whole lot cheaper. you just got to look. i also travled pretty far for seveal cars i bought. just depends on what you want and what your willing to pay for a car. as long as it wasnt a bad wreck you should be good. hell half the cars people own on here probably was in some type of accident but not reported. what makes there car better then that one? nothing because that ones nice and will be cheaper. just what i think. but i do like to find a unmolested car, problem is more $$$. if you wait long enough you will find what you want for a good price though.
