5.25 drives and cables will plug into an x86 based mobo if you get the right cable ;)

in the time it took me to decifer this cluster ---- I could have pulled the pan and found out if it was 2 or 4 bolt mains. Go get your hands dirty and work on the damn car throw go fast parts at it till it blows up because a block costs about 200 at the most, and the crank is the only thing that is possibly worth a damn and you wont break that. I've given away 4 bolt virgin 350 blocks because I needed the room

Aren't the 2 bolts actually stronger than the 4 bolts? Unless you take a 2 bolt and machine it to a 4 bolt diagonally? Just something I heard somewhere.

On the 400s the two bolts are stronger

It's a 2 bolt. i think . what exactly am looking for.

Well if all five of the main caps only have 2 bolts that attach them to the bottom of the block then it is a 2 bolt main block. Pretty simple.

The 882 heads are at least a decent head to work with. They do fairly well with a mild port job and a quality multi angle valve job.

As far as the 2 bolt 400 blocks being stronger goes. It is pretty common for the main webs to crack with the straight 4 bolt main arrangement, especially on a block that is generally used witha a longer strike that in turn puts more stress on the main webs. Most of the time the preferred approach is to get a 2 bolt 400 block and convert it to a splayed 4 bolt main setup.

But again, it is just what I have heard. :P
