My diff blewout last week on the way to work and I've been on a mad search for a new 3rd member. I have a lsd diff and matching axles but the ring and pinion are toasted so by the time I buy a matching ring an pinion gear and I've never setup a pinion and diff before I'd be better off just getting a LSD 3rd member and not even have to worry about that. Then just sell my lsd I have and whatever axles I don't use. Just bolt it in and call it a day and have my hachi back. So far the best deal that I found was one in Phelan CA. It's a kouki 3rd member with a new TRD 2 way lsd already installed and setup for 350 picked up. He doesn't really want to ship it and never shipped something like this either. Eeh it's kinda heavy but thats about it. About the same size as a d-series head. If someone could pick this up and ship it out for me that'd be flippin' sweet!
I'm currently carless as my volvo has a massive coolant leak that I've yet to find(really haven't looked) and the Z is having issues and I just broke one of my spark plug wires and noboby has any in stock around here.
I just got off the phone with senior Boostamante and quick asked him but he was still at work and couldn't really chit chat and after I did a mapquest search and it's a 83 mile trip one way from his house to Phelan. So I'm not too sure how eager he'd be to just take a nice little 166 mile trip for me so anyone close to Phelan?
