What do i need to do to ensure engine reseambly goes well? i dont want to pop head gaskets if i ---- up. i dont know if my helms manual is going to tell me everything.

Did the block overheat? Get a straight edge and make sure the block is flat. I have had problems in the past, so I always get the head surfaced. I also always use copper spray on the gaskets. I love that ----.

If you want to make this a one time deal and not have problems get the block decked and head milled. Worth the extra cash and you wont have any worries.

I've never had to get a block decked before (unless it was over-heated really bad or sleeved) I normally resurface the heads though. And copper spray is your friend
