need advice
I have a 88 crx that I just bought for $400.It came with a zc dohc and some springs.Well the car has a clean title but the only thing that I need fixed is the rear controll arm mount.Do you guys think I should weld it up or should I find another shell?

You can buy that cross-member from honda for around 180 bucks. Drill that one out and weld the other one in...Like a core support. I would'nt weld it unless you have access to a frame machine ,otherwise the car will never be right.
If I were to brace it with some metal tabs ,think it will hold? Also what type of welder would you guys recomend? I don't know much about welding but I have a gasless auto feed.Would that produce strong enough welds?

for $400...I wouldnt try and salvage that car. Find another CRX with a good chassis and swap the ZC and suspension into that. thats what I would do...
for $400, I wouldnt consider it a complete waste...the ZC is worth that.

If you do it then post up pics, im sure it could be done but it would allways be in my mind
