id try to fix it, the cars worth it. even if it cost you a grand to fix

clean off all the rust and like said above, get a new piece and weld it on in. it can be fixed rather then get a new shell, just be sure to not half-*** it. the flux core would do the job, but i would suggest you get someone with experience to use the mig on the load bearing bracket. the mig can look like a nice clean weld but be real weak.

Shortest project I've ever had.My friend wrote for sale dirtcheap on while it was being towed and some dude followed it to my place and offered me $800.I was like sure since I doubled what I payed for it without doing nothing.
