nasty roommates
 

what do you guys do when you have nasty roommates that dont want to clean common areas? like ive tried almost everything so far leaving notes, not cleanning, cleaning more, but everything just gets worse and im gettin pretty pissed.

I had this same problem last year. dude left his ---- everywhere and i couldnt stand it. He would have parties and i would stay up to 5 afterwards trying to make the place spotless.....im borderline OCD :-\ Anywho, the ---- never changed and i went the whole year pissed at that mother fucker for not doing ---- to help keep the place clean. Dont make the same mistake as me. Notes dont work man, i tried. Sit him down with the other roomates and tell him whats on your mind or you will end up with a stomach ulcer. Good luck.

As someone that you could probably call a "nasty roommate" don't do anything to his stuff!

As a hater, you have to do nasty ---- too to make 'em understand. If it were me, you should just randomly get up in the middle of the night and take a dump in the middle of a common area and just say that since he leaves his ---- around, you're going to do the same.

You have to make it a point to be nasty. And not just normal kind of nasty. I mean disgusting. Smear ---- on the wall by his bed.

Better yet, soak everything he owns in goat's blood. (For the extremist)

dude i had ------- retards for roommates, and there is pretty much nothing you could do, i hid my tv remotes (the tv in the living room was mine) under the vacuum cleaner because all they did was play tony hawk, i figured if they vacuumed theyd find the remotes and it would be a reward.

wrong, a month later they found the remote, and instead of vacuuming, they went back to tony hawk, i almost died.

My first roommates were like that.

When I take two plates off the counter and seperate them to find a nest of maggots, I draw the line.

Best bet is to just find other living arrangements, cause they wont change. Chances are if you talk to them they'll be cool about it and try a little harder for like a month, then go back to old habits.

Move out, but before you do drop his tooth brush in the toilet after taking a ---- and cum in his shampoo. If his room has carpet, pull up a corner of it and place perishable food under it (cottage cheese or eggs works great), and then fix the carpet like it was never moved. It should stink pretty bad in there after a few days.

Alright. I am in this exact same situation right now so let me make a list of all the things i've done.
From lest severe to most severe:

1 - Be very obvious about your cleaning, see if they catch on.

2 - Take away privilages to things such as TV's and ps2s. (You can buy a little thing at some electronics stores that makes it so you have to enter a pin to turn on the power)

3 - Buy a snow shovel and use it to move their crap to either their desk or their bed.

4 - Yell at them and be a general ass.

5 - Come back wicked drunk, need a place to puke, empty your trash onto them while they are sleeping so you have a nice empty can.

6 - ---- THEM UP!

I have tried everything on this list and the bastard has gotten himself pretty much straitened himself out.

I used to live with 8 other guys and half of them were ------- pigs. We would just put their ---- on their bed. We would just pile their trash in their room so it was out of the common area, and eventually they got the point. Also, get yourself your own set of dished. I bought dollar store ---- and wrote my name on it with a sharpie. That way no one used my ----, and I was the only one to blame if my plate ir pan was dirty.

you sound like my old room mate; I thought that guy was a fag or something. so long as there's a place to sit, there's no half eaten food on the coffee table, and it doesn't smell like ---- then I'm happy. I find people who can't get hints about cleaning up ect. are pretty much hopeless. I'm lucky to have my brother as a roomate. But then again his douchebag friend lives with us. He sounds like what everybody else described. I just go with being an uber ------- to him. That way he doesn't talk or bother me unless he has to.

When your living in a tiny ass dorm room (we're talking like less then 150 square feet) with one other person then its really just isn't enough room to be messy. I don't care if the kid makes a rat ---- of his bed or his desk but when I have to start clearing his ---- off of my bed when I come back at 4 in the AM ready to pass out then I get pretty pissed.

My second year in the dorms I got a shitty roommate. Some ---- from Arkansas who talked funny. He was an idiot in general and was messy as ----. He broke a bottle on the floor purposely and that set me off and I kicked his ass. Greatest feeling ass kicking I've ever given. Feel free to kick ass if you can, and if it's deserved.

My girlfriend got pissed at me and left, he hardly tried to fight back. He didn't really clean up because he's just messy in general but he was more respectful of my ---- and thought twice before he did something stupid when I was in the room. In any event you could say I owned the ---- outta him.

Haha, I've been meaning to make a post like this for a while now. :-\

Today is trash day. The garage was fuckign full of trash bags and pizza boxes and ---- because I decided to try to teach my dirty ass roommate a lesson. He refuses to take the fuckign trash to the curb. It's like a 2 minute job at most and he can't seem to figure it out. I end up getting sick of not being able to walk around the garage so I always have to bring the ---- down. He always says "Oh, I was going to do it, but I forgot and by the time I remembered it was too late". ::)

The kitchen counter is fuckign disgusting. He has never cleaned the counter and I'm sick oif cleaning it so I'm not going to do it anymore. It can grow hairy ---- for all I care. I won't clean up after a pig anymore.

He orders pizza like 3 times a day. No bullshit. He leaves the pizza box in the oven with the oven set at 200 degrees for days before he replaces it with a new one. He says it keeps it fresh. I think it's the biggest ------- waste of money. Yeah, let's leave the oven on all week which is going to cost us $50 extra a month in electricity to save a ------- $10 pizza. ::)


Today I come home from work pissed off because I had to work in this god damn rain and the heater is set at 90 fuckiogn degrees. You can almost see steam coming out of the house when you open the door. Why is the ------- heater set at 90 degrees? It wasn't too logn ago that I had to close all the vents in my room because the air was on and I couldn't handle sleeping in sub-40 degree weather.

The living room carpet is fuckign wrecked because that's where the slob used to eat. It's so ------- nasty. He moved his operation into his room and now the carpet in his room is fucked up beyond belief. His alarm was going off the other day when I got home and I walked in to turn it off......I don't know how someone can live in that ----. Garbae and pizza boxes and soda cans and bags of weed and spilled bongs and dirty clothes and a nasty ass smell. It is so ------- nasty in there. He also leaves his TV on all day long. He leaves every light in the house on all day and all night long. I'm constantly turning lights off behind him. Alot of the bulbs have blown out because they are on 24/7 so that's helping me out a little. I'm so ------- sick of it.

He uses the garage door opener NO MATTER WHAT. It probbaly costs us like $40 a month in electricty to operate the garage door opener because it's up and down like 75 times a day. He doesn't even park his truck in the garage, yet he feels he has to go in and out of that door everytime, NO MATTER WHAT. If he wanted to go out in the backyard he would open the garage door to do it, even though that's the longest way possible.

His pile of ---- truck leaks oil like a mother fucker and he parks the pile of ---- all over the driveway. The driveway is covered in oil now.


He punched a hole in the wall like 4 motnhs ago because he lost $10 playing poker online. Since then he has lost like $500 and has yet to fix the hole.

My security deposit is fucked. Everything is in my name. I could go on and on and on about other ---- that pisses me off, but I'll end it now before I have to shoot someone. :-\

This is why I pay to live alone. 700 a month for a 1bdrm has a garage though is alot but my sanity is worth more than saving a couple hundred bucks a month.

If it hasn't been mentioned already, I say, just start throwing their ---- away that they leave around. Clothes, wallets, cellphones, etc. You could hide this stuff if you don't like the idea of possibly having to pay them back some day.

The best option is to just find somewhere else to live IMO.

I was living by myself for two years before this. I wish I could switch back. :-\ The only upside is I have a big garage.

I don't know how to get out of it now. What do I say? I'm waiting for him to move or something, but I don't think it's going to happen. :-\

Hmmmmm....he's already worried about losing his hair....

The A/C is on now. Go figure. The heater was on 90 all day and now the A/C is on 60. ::) The garage door has been opened about 7 times since I have been home. ::)

EDIT: The kitchen lights are on, the front outside lights are on, the lights in his room are on and his TV is on.......and he isn't even here. ::) God ------- damn it that pisses me off. >:(

You would think the guy would take a hint. Sometimes when I come home from work and lights and ---- are on I go around and turn every ------- light in the house on. EVERY ONE OF THEM.....and he still doesn't get the hint. ::) The shitty part is we've been friends for years and I know if I say something or if I tell him I can't live with him anymore it's going to be the end of our friendship. :-\

I've tried to be nice and mention ---- to him. When he came home today I said "Were ya ------- cold or what?" He says "Oh ----, I forgot to turn the heater off". I'm like "Yeah, you had that ---- cranked to 90 and it was fuckign roasting in here".

It's not going to do any good. He's hopeless. I'm just going to wait it out. :-\

I think I'm going to find the most annoying chick I can drag home from the bar and move her in with me. Maybe he'll get fed up and move out and then I can kick her ass out and be all by myself? :D Think my GF will go along with that idea? ???

your lucky you only have one dirty person to worry about I have 3 in my dorm and its really gettin on my neveres because not one of them cleans. last night the GAY roomate, thats right I have a gay roommate(not my choice) had a bunch of his gay friends over last night drinkin and all his shot glasses, soda cans and beer cans and ---- is all over the place. im really gettin pissed.
