Jesus, I don't know if anybody answered your question but yeah its a pule dampener. When the injectors fire they crate pulses or waves in the fuel rail. That thing absorbs those pulses to create a steadier and more reliable fuel flow by stopping the turbulence in the fuel rail.

totally correct. but as i said, it becomes defunct if you have a rubber hose fuel line ( not the whole line ) but the rubber hoses absorb the pulsations. |
