I liked the turbo D better than the B. I like how your car is dirty because you DRIVE it, none of the HT polish and shine stuff.
The melted piston you pulled out is from banging relimiter on a generic chip - I've seen a PILE of D-series pistons melted down the sides like that. |

JD it melted whne i was racing a stock itegra gsr on the feeway on a eGay basemap chip who knows waht the specs where but it requied 3bar map and 450cc injectors (waht a waste only if i knew better about tunning and ----) i was in 4th gear on my dx trans (this was my 3rd turbo set up in and the first one in my ---- hatch taht it was in and first kit i went wiht chipped ecu and bigger injectors) going around 130 and i just got loss of power and lots of smoke out the exhaust.. after i drove it home slowly and then banngged the rev limiter hoping to blow a rod! lol didnt happen
ya i do drive my car always!! i always daily drive my turbo project car they have been my only daily driver car i have otehr cars but those shits just broke down in the back yard O0 |

Hell if I know, you can bounce a turbo B-series off the stock (fuel cut) revlimiter quite a bit and it doesn't hurt anything. Do it to a turbo D and you melt the side of the piston out, down through the ring package.
I think it may be a Crome thing, I know it doesn't do it with some of the other Juarez, or if you have an ignition cut via MSD, etc. |
