Here are some pics of what I have done on the car. I have a lot still do do but it is getting close!

First time I ever pulled an engine! That was fun!

While it was out, I had my chance to drain the pan for the Oil drain.

I got it back in the car and installed a new fuel pump. What a job!

Turbo Specs:
Master Power 60-1 "P" Trim
TO4 ' P ' Trim Turbine wheel - 64.5mm / 78mm
Super 70 Compressor wheel - 60.5mm / 84mm
.70a/r Compressor housing
.68a/r T4 Exhaust housing

Intercooler Mounted on the car. I got this cooler from Custom Coach, Thanks to them for the AWESOME peice!

I have the oil Feed and Drain done on the car. Tested this weekend and everything works Great!

I have the wastegate mounted and on, not hooked up yet...

Whats left to do: place the battery in the trunk, hook up all the guages, build the charge pipes, build the downpipe, install some check valves, get it on a dyno to try and tune it!

do you have the other side looped over to the turbo side manifold? or a v8 with a turbo on 4 cylinders?

Wish I could take credit for it, I am buying it from another turbomustang guy... He has helped me a lot along the way.

So far, it spins good, no shaft play, has not leaked any oil and its right from the factory with a one year warranty... I know I have heard some bad things about them in the past, but there are a ton of turbo guys buying them and using now, with very good results. We'll see! O0

Its is a T4. I paid $500usd in a group buy... It was the most expensive peice of the puzzle. The car is Speed Density.

I really like the car. Me being one of the few Ford guys on the board had to step in and give you props for your work. Overall it looks like it is going to be a really nice setup.
What are you going to use to fool the Speed Density Computer. I am not sure if the FMU is going to be able to overide what it is doing. Haven't really messed with the SD Mustangs much. I went from Carb to Mass Air and now i am back with a carb on my race car. I do miss my fuel injection a little though.

I have been looking at those Master Power turbos too. I have seen that a couple of the guys on www.turbomustangs.com have been using them for their DIY kits. I may be attempiting to build a carb blowthrough setup in the near future if I can ever get the car running the way I want it to.

But yeah man that is a sweet setup and I can't wait to see it running.

Here is a pic of the welder I got. Mark(From this site) and I welded up all the charge pipes and made a little down pipe with it.

dont worry about that turbo. ive been using the Master Power turbo for about a year on my car and the only thing that i can tell you to watch out for is that you dont feed it TO MUCH OIL. make sure you put a restrictor on that oil supply.

i fed it 40+ psi for a couple months and the seals started leaking. i put in a restrictor on the oil feed and i have no complaints at all now.


and dont worry about the guys that want to flame you for the Master Power turbo, they have a vandetta against SSAutoChrome but they cant seem to understand that SSAutoChrome is a reseller and that Master Power has nothing to do with SSAutoChrome other than the fact that Master Power allows SSAutoChrome to resell their brand of turbo's.

How's the wastegate working, the placement doesn't seem like it would relieve the turbo from the driver's side bank very much. post some pics of the charge pipes...

yeah about the wg , why didnt you put it where the two pipes meet so it splits the exhaust gases equally rather than it just dumping from one pipe.

The wastegate works good! It hits full boost at about 4000rpm and the gate holds it there to redline(6000rmp) I was going to place it at the merge, but there was no room for anything.

That turbo is ----. Anything SSautochrome sells is ---- and everybody(but you and a few others)knows it. You get what you pay for. Why are Hyundia's so cheap? Because they are ----. Why are SSauto products so cheap? Because they are ----. I'd rock a 15 year old junkyard turbo anyday over a brand new unbalanced pile of ---- SSatuo(AKA Master power)turbo. Obviously SSauto doesn't make the ------- turbos and everybody knows this. He sells these shitty products for other shitty companies.


Don't recommend those bullshit turbos to anybody on this website.

im pretty sure xs power and master power are to diffrent companys. the master power turbos are like 5-7 hundred dollars

Holy buddy! My turbo works great! Sounds Great! Spools Great! And lots of guys that have bought Master Power turbos work great as well. And Master Power will continue to make them and sell tons of them!

Yes, just like SSautochrome and XS-power are two different sellers on Egay. If I remember correctly, my "XS-power" turbo had "Master power" on some of the packaging.





Congratulations and good luck to you. You've had your turbo on for what, like 2 days? I should hope it's still working great.

I would hope so too! Its been on a a week of driving, a month of it being on the car and turned on(cold side not done)

Who cares what kind of turbo it is... It makes boost and for right now it is working! If it does break in a month(or less), all I got to do is send it back and I get another one... If they don't give me a new one(for some reason) I'll buy another turbo... big deal.
