Default my sad track times lol

well guys I went to the track for open test and tune i think it was kind of ugly.....first off I have a y8 4-1 header , 3 inch greddy CatB exhaust , tenzo short Ram , and I was running 100 octane gas which i promise makes a difference at least in my car. Anyway it was alot of fun , best of 3 runs was 17.1 1/4 mile at 80.9 miles an hour with a reaction time of .191 . so for my first time at the track I think I did ok as far as reaction times but Im looking to loose about 4 seconds off that time. I know it sounds sad guys but gotta do what you can with what you have.
Just thought you might want to know.......thanks take it easy everyone

Well everyone I went back to the track today and had a lil better time .......a 2.4 60 foot , .102 reaction time and a still slow 17.0 at 80 mph , again im new to the track that why i was out ther I am learning how run on the track , and I know its slow but I had fun , as far as the octane subject , Im not saying its making a huge difference but it does make some , either way it wont be like this much longer Im picking up the turbo next weekend , Im loking forward to getting it set up. I did beat a a 06 EX by 2 seconds though lol not saying much but it made me feel good.
take it easy guys ,

um. you need to turbo. no other way will get you 4 seconds off your time.

Then your ignition timing must be jacked. You'd make better power off of lower octane on a stock engine, if it were running correctly.

Reaction times don't matter. The #1 thing about drag racing, your 60' time which is the backbone for everything, you didn't tell us.

If it's the car in his avatar, it'd take one hell of a turbo to overcome the wheels, and aerodynamic drag from that rear bumper, and net 13's.

------, you have 1.5 seconds tied up in how much you suck at launching your car.

Were you having massive wheelspin problems, and too stupid to lift on the gas pedal a little, or did you dump the clutch and bog? I'm guessing the former, as the latter shouldn't do you worse than a 2.5...

(BTW, you're a n00b, so we are going to flame you for your first 50 posts or so... welcome aboard!)
