my NEW turbo manifold.....(GTI update!!!)....

well this is a little update for those who remember that i even have a GTI...yes i am still working on it...no its STILL not finished...but its getting every close, waiting on flanges, passenger fender, and wiring harness.. oh and a turbo from Mr Josh Coleman aka: Hotsex. the rest it just work to get it assembled the rest of the way...

this is my custom manifold being fabbed by Euro Nation Motorsport...the manifold was designed for a MK1 (i have a MK2) so it didnt clear the motor mount, thats why the #1-2 runners are shorter. the turbo will be mounted up top for all to see 8)

sweet, now in a year when hotrex actually ships your turbo, you'll be all ready to bolt it in and go.

oh yeah...here is the breakdown...

1991 VW Golf GTI

Engine:
2.0L ABA bottom end
1.8L 16v head w/3 angle valve grind
ARP head studs
Euro Nation custom intake manifold
VR6 throttle body
Euro Nation custom turbo manifold
Garrett T3/T04E 60 Trim w/Stage 3 .63 A/R exhaust, V-Band discharge
TiAL 38mm external wastegate (polished)
Euro Nation 3” down pipe
Euro Nation 2.5” charge pipes
TiAL 50mm blow off valve (polished)
JohnnyRaceCar 8” intercooler (‘new style’)
Turbo Smart ‘Boost Tee’ (manual boost controller)
VF-Engineering driver motor mount
EIP front motor mount
Kent ABF timing belt

Transmission:
O2A cable shift transmission swap
Peloquin Limited Slip Differential (torsen style....like a Quaife)
SPEC Stage 3 (6 puck sprung disc, heavy duty pressure plate)
lightened G60 flywheel

Fuel System:
Megasquirt’n’spark
60lbs Seimen Deka injectors

Suspension/Wheels/Brakes:
Weitec Coilovers
16” Konig Traffik (wheels)
Dunlop SP Sport FM901 (tires)
10.1” front brakes
8.9” rear disc brakes

Exterior:
Montana Green paint
E-Code H4 Hella headlights
Custom yellow center lights
Euro VR6 front lip

Interior:
Euro Nation roll bar
Recaro 16v full gray seats
Momo steering wheel
Momo shift knob
VDO 0-30PSI boost gauge

so yes i will be running a 'stock' motor...compression will be ~8.2-8.5:1...

as for goals? well i dont set goals, they tend to lead to dissapointment.... we WILL make 300whp on pump gas....also plan on finding the limits of the injectors/pump/pistons ~400-450whp but i dont have an aftermarket pump yet, when its here we (meaning Aaron at Euro Nation Motorsport) will be making a surge tank and illl fill the car with some super high octane race gas and go for gold (or piston ownage). as for 1/4 mile ----? umm...VW axles break if you mention slicks near them. so that means street tires (and an extra set of axles) hopefully low 12;s on race gas, low 13s maybe 12s on pump gas...
