there is a guy over on probetalk.com that is doing a turbo delorean, it has a single T70 on it and is using megasquirt for engine management.

ive heard they were pretty decently designed, lotus helped with the chassis and they seem to be pretty trouble free. They use some pretty generic peugeot-renault-volvo motor that is weaksauce but a turbo project would be sweet on one.

i have yet to hear anything bad except that they accelerate a little slow and your twos opinions on them, i did read a few reviews that said that brillo pads and metal polish would be a must constantly from finger prints and small knicks but thats no big deal to me, i wash my car every week or two max anyway

thats one thing that i liked finding out is that lotus helped with the chassis and suspension, and the volvo motor as long as it doesnt grenade too quickly isnt much of a big deal as long as it responds to the boost well enough

i read alot of people are swapping in V-8's but i'd rather keep the stock motor in it for as long as i can

haha priceless, i've heard theres a small problem with the undercoat cracking and rusting the frame but that shouldnt be too hard to have redone if it needs to be

i love back to the future...and i wouldnt ever buy one of those cars because i think they are hideous. if it cant travel through time its useless to me. Buy the 03 cobra, run 10s with bolt ons and call it a day

i like the look of them, and i'd buy the cobra, but everyone around here has a damn mustang and i want something diffrent

wouldnt be another delorean within a 300 mile radius of me, i like the idea of that :y

plus i prefer turbo to a supercharger and would rather make it run 10s myself then just buy a couple parts and be there :6 probably never run 10s in it but still, i like doing my own work to get there
