Im gonna try this, rolled on though. Less mess, no overspray, thing out to the consistency of milk and roll on very light. 2 Coats and then sand, repeat until covered. Im doing blue over blue so coverage should go pretty quick.

Been reading up on it alot here http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...0&fpart=5&vc=1

Yah, I want to see better pics too. I'm not wanting to pick your car apart, I just want to poll people for exact results in case I go this route so i know what to expect.

For $60, though? The car looks clean, and I doubt anyone can see any blemishes from 10 feet away.

Hey guys it comes out awesome for what it is, if I had done
a nice job prepping and block the entire car before painting
you would not see any blemishes at all.
Give it a shot it's cheap and not hard to do if you spray it.

okay i am about to sell a car and am picking up a civic wagon that needs a little body work and some paint. i want to paint it gloss white on top and repaint the side molding and bumpers black wiht the bumper paint and below the side molding black. the only thing is i'm not sure what color black, gloss, semi gloss, regular??? okay but besides that how are you polishing the paint afer all is said and done? i seen that the guy in the link above uses turtle wax rubbing compound but from what i know about detailing you need a glaze and polish on top of that to give it the shine that your lookign for.

oh and ---- WINDOWS VISTA!!!!

Re: My new $60 paintjob!!!!

For the bumpers just used bumper spray paint, it
says on the can "specially for bumper" or something like that.
Now for polishing you'd have to wetsand the car and then
just use that turtle wax and buff with high speed buffer.
The dude with the orange charger said it worked best for
him so that's what I'm gonna use if I ever wetsand the
damn car ;D

okay just went to the store and picked up some rustoleum but it says "oil based" on the can, is that the right ----? i got 2 Qt's of gloss white and a pint of satin black that would match the bumper paint so it wouldn't stand out too much. is that the right stuff?

part number for the white is: 7792
satin black was: 7777

total cost was 18.51 for paint ;D
