wish I could find gsr heads for free

+1 on the free head deal. I'm not to knowledged when it comes to the intake mani's, but i was just wondering if that's one of the newer gsr intake's that has the butterfly valve in it? And if so, can crome be made to run them as well or is that an actual ecu mod that would have to be done? Sorry for the stupid questions, but i'm mostly a d-series head that's more or less gone B now too.

all 94+gsr ran the 3 piece manifold w/fly's. crome has code to run them but you must had the feature in the ecu has obviosuly p28 doesnt run it has they dont have them has they run a single piece mani. Gsr manifold actually performs really well when you cut them up and divide up the runners but unless you have 8+hours to port best bet is switch to blox, skunk, aebs etc. Ericks racing still sports the gsr intake manifold on all there all motor builds

I did a test fit with a stock ls headgasket and the KMS dowel pins, and it did not require any machining of the head gasket, so I guess its only with the Ge ones.

thats negative ghost rider! I just went back to the garage and check the headgasket and dowel pin, I do have to machine it, it took me about 10 minutes.

you still have to machine the head gasket, right after I made this post I went to the garage to check.

yea the butterfly's are no longer in that head. never were. and jason the reason the manifold is soo bad i think its from all the battery acid from the guys car accident. and yea it took way to ------- long. i have done complete b series swaps in half that time it took us. prolly would have gone alot quicker at my old garage though since that is pretty much where everything is still at. haha. anyways ---- fook your car runs waaaaay smoother and it actually idles now so ---- it. :6
