Default my hondas...

When I first got into cars, i bought a 90 crx si. it was alright, but needed a lot of work, over the course of a few years, i rebuilt the entire motor replacing and building up every component. It was pretty fast, and i had it painted blue to satisfy my liking, but after a while, everybody in my town had one (between 20-30 in a small town). I always watched the forums of several websites, and saw an ad for a 93 civic cx. The car had no stereo stuff, painted interior, a d16a6 top with d15b2 bottom, running with a "dx" ecu which i later found out to be a cx, how this thing is even wired i have no clue, sensors are hanging, wires were exposed, but ah well. I knew the car was rough, but with some hesitation i ended up trading straight up.

I got the car, it needed a helluva lot of work, the engine was weak and smokey, the interior was less than satisfying, and no tach was horrible. The transmission was grinding, wiring was messed up, and lots of other little things.

I also recieved a black widow rear bumper, and side skirts, as well as the stock stuff installed except for the stock side skirts which were off the car. I started with the head light wiring, wires were everywhere and the hi beams wouldnt work. After probably 5 hours, i found out i had a bad relay, so it took me about a week and 11 auto shops to find and get the right one. Next on the list was the rad. fan. Wires were chopped off everywhere, so i simply wired it straight up to run constantly, however, i found out that blew a lot of fuses, so i just had to watch the temp gauge a lot.

The previous owner had painted the interior blue, so I removed everything from the car, and painted the interior black for cost reasons. It really didn't come out too well, and the sun glared right into my eyes from the gloss paint. I soon after got an amp and a couple subs, and rewired my headunit. The next day I was going up to school, and a huge dump truck had a big load of rocks, one flew off and put a hole through my windshield, so i whipped my car around at 55, and after all that, people in front of me wouldnt let me get through to get after him, so there went 150 real quick. I also replaced the alteeza tail lights with stock ones.

A few months ago, I found an ad for a 94 civic ex rollover. The guy was going to have it crushed, so i offered to take it if he was just gonna junk it, the guy said no. I was a little surprised, but later i found a 95 civic ex rollover from the same guy. After debating to go 4 hours for a car i never heard run, from a guy i never met, in a town i've never been in or heard of, using money i didn't have, i went for it. My dad and i went with my uncles car trailor and we got it home. We threw in my cx ecu, and switched wheels around so we could at least push it off, first crank it started and sounded great, it smokes a little bit, but i usually dont follow myself so its fine. I wanted to switch over as much as i could, i wanted power doors badly though. I started tearing down my passenger side door, and after switching the stuff in it over, i found out quickly cx's aren't wired for many options at all. My dad and I switched over the wiring harness/engine/tranny/dash/seats/door panels/power windows.doorlocks/cruise control/gauge cluster/carpet (yes a coupe will fit a hatch, but its a little baggy and you'll have to make your own holes or its super baggy)/and ac... in less than a week.

Now as it stands, I'm happy with my phantom grey hatch. I'd like to sell parts from what i have left over to buy some wheels, tint my windows, and get my paint touched up, i need a fender painted, and some spots around the car where somebody put primer on it.

I second that.

I didn't really read all of it, I just skimmed it, and read the last sentence and decided it wasn't worth the effort.

I did just see the pictures and realize that the guy is into color matching his nokia phone, cd case, and shoes with his car. VERY HOMO if you ask me.

hey I used to install those bright *** red/blue/white/purple/orange/yellow/green leds on nokias. It was the hottest thing around. Made a few bucks so I was happy And my nokia was hot bright *** blue leds that lite up my whole goddam room at night.

And stingray, nice work with the car. I always see hunks of junks drive around and I want them, I dunno if I would have hung in for as long as you did, but hats off to you buddy!

A few years ago I used to work directly with nokia and beta test certain services with their phones on a gsm market. I've done everything from flash software versions to resolder different LEDs in the phones. I'm not knocking having a customized phone (the market is way changed now). Just getting a bunch of personal items to match the interior of your car is just plain rice.
