My HMT 78 Chevy Monte Carlo

7 Attachment(s)
Holset Hx50 from Ebay.
Chinaman intercooler
Flipped Chevy block hugger headers for manifolds
21/2 inch piping to turbo
3 inch charge pipes
Chinaman bov
Chinaman wastegate
5 inch downpipe dumping right in front of r/f tire.
Chevy 12 bolt diff with 4.10 gears. I will be changeing them to 3.31.
Muncie m21 4 speed transmission.
Center force dual friction clutch.
30 over 350 with forged pistons, ported and polished 2.02 1.60 heads.
comp nitrous xp cam. (Also good for turbo and nitrous)
125 shot of nos through a plate under carb.
1.6 ratio roller rockers.
Mighty demon 750 carburator. Will modify soon for boost.
Walbro 255 lph in line fuel pump.
Holley fuel pressure regulator modified to rise at a 1:1 ratio.
Nitto 275 60 15 drag radials
I ordered a wideband so that I can tune it within the next few weeks. I still have to get the parts for the carb. I have driven the car to and from work and so far it runs great. I'm just taking it easy until I get the wideband on it.

Yea, I got it for free and never got around to buy a nice one. Free is better than cheap though.

that bitch is nice! Is that the same turbo from off the duramax diesel? A chrome grill and 20's would make that bitch look perfect. then again, you'd be going thru rear tires like a mother fucker

I'm not sure what an Hx50 originally comes on, I thought maybe a freightliner or a diesel volvo, I got it from Ebay. I'm not looking to win car shows with this car. I am going to get rid of the skinnys' and put a regular size rim on there when I change the gear ratio in the rear to drive it at normal rpms' on the highway. There is a Maaco up the road from me that I will send it to so that they can shoot it fast and get rid of the rust spots. I just want a 11 or 10 second car with a 15 foot paint job that I can take out on the weekends.

Your car looks just redneck enough that someone will put themselves into a position where you can break one off in them in a very humiliating manner. Props.

A+ how do you like that carb I've heard bad things about barry grant. Did you get a blow through one or modify a normal one.

It is just the naturally aspirated carb, double pumper, that I will modify myself. I just got the wideband today so I will start tuning soon. After I tuned it following the instructions that came with the carb, it ran great for me. I have read that some people were having trouble with it, but I also read that some had no trouble at all.
