punch yourself in the nuts. :-\ And there's no way that you can ball hone that much out of a cylinder wall. My Integra had a gouge in the wall and we honed the ---- out of it like there was no tomorrow and the slop was NOTHING like that. I'd take the pistons out and look at them, chances are something else isn't right. The piston slap on that thing but sound like a massive ------- rod knock. :-\ But man you got fucked on that deal.

the 3-file hone will take that much out, ive seen/helped do it :-X

Sorry for a newB building question but how does something like that happen? Wrong ring gaps? Too much of a hone? I'm just not sure how there is tham much of a gap between the piston and the cylinder wal and it's still holding compression ??? Just kind of confusing whow it got that way.

Looks like we have some new "PWn3D" pictures to make.

Where is that "Shipping 102" write-up?

Did you do the compression test yourself, see the test or are you just relying on what the person who sold it to you said? You can ---- up some pistons pretty bad and not touch the cylinder walls. I've fucked up alot of motors in my time so I've seen it happen.

i think it is good to have the ring that 'accessable' in case you want to change it without pulling out the piston :-X
