If you can see copper on the bearings they're fucked and you need to measure the piston and the bore to see wtf the deal is. If you don't have the right tools ( micrometer and bore gauge) I'm sure a machine shop (some NAPA places) can measure it for you cheap. They need to be measured to .001" one thousanth of an inch, I'm not sure what that is in japanese. If there is more than a couple thousanths difference there is NO WAY a reputable motor builder would have assembled it like that. And I highly doubt t could open up that much from wear and if it was from wear, the cylinders and sides of the piston would be ----.ed

Phew :o I studied that cylinder picture for a long time trying to figure out WTF was breaking through the cylinder... then I saw your caption that said "THIS IS A GLARE", hah whoops. Looks alright to run again. Maybe some new bearings and your good to go. I'd use it.

Wow, you guys make it sound like Josh sent out a bad motor on purpose. That's fucked. I know that he didn't assemble it because we discussed it at length at the NE install. The car smoked a tiny bit at the NE HMT cruise night but not bad at all. It sucks that happened, but I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Its a used motor some are good some are bad but he didn't knowingly send it out fucked.

Re:my garage...56K **pulled a piston**

those first 2 pictures are identical. :P

the bearing are fucked.
everything else is good.

I still dont think josh purposely sent me a messed up motor...but now I gotta fix it.

and i am still a little upset he said he shipped the other stuff, and didnt.
