my 9/11 morning so far**FOUND THE BASTARD*

i walked out into my driveway at 5:30am to go to work this morning and found this. i was not impressed. needless to say, i did not go to work. i'm just glad my car in the garage was not touched. i know the insurance will cover it, but i'm pissed anyway. i wish i had caught them in the middle of it. what baffles me the most is that they were the factory 15" rims and rubber. what is the point? no one ever claimed theives to be smart.

Re:my 9/11 morning so far

i just called the honda dealership to price replacements for when my insurance company calls me back so atleast i have a price for them. installed, balanced, with lugs and taxes in.... over $3300CDN! i don't think i'll be putting those back on. i will however invest in some locking lugnuts.

yeah, the jack is brand new, i don't think it has ever been used! i might go around to some local auto stores and see if this brand is sold anywhere and if they have sold any recently... maybe i could squeeze a credit card number out of them. i could be so lucky.

I'd cut your losses and just buy new ones....your rates will get FUCKED for making a claim

how close are you to London?

Wow that's ------- gay. I'm so sick of thieves. If we would go back to the old days where thieves got thier fingers/hands chopped off we wouldn't have such a big problem. :-\ Singapore has the right idea......

i'm not too sure about the rates, i've made a theft claim on a different car in the past and had no change at all. they were really good about it, they had replacement parts for me inside a few hours. why do we have insurance if they jack the rates up after we make a claim? i've been with this insurance company for over 10 years and have no complaints.

i am in waterdown, close to burlington, about 1.5 hours from london. why do you ask?

That really seriously blows dude.. sorry that some asspirates decided they wanted your rims. I don't have to worry about this ----.. I used to leave my windows down and the key underneath the floormat, there's virtually no car theft around here.. anyways, good luck man.. hopefully you get some prints and nail their asses.

i live out in the boonies and my s hit is kept in the garage so i dont really worry about it, plus i can tell if someone is following me home

if you take it to an autoprats store you'll prolly just find out that it was stolen, and they'll take your free jack too.

BTW spoon fed, add me to msn.

Re:my 9/11 morning so far

Aaron, sorry to hear about those wheels. Get the insurance money, an aftermarket set of wheels, and a double barrel shotgun. 8)

This is what I have right now. $330 was for 5 sets in the group buy, but I'll see what more I can do for you if you'd like.

new Si isn't 5 lug, only DC5-S/R are 5 lug.

just look at the bright side, the theives basically traded your stock wheels for a nice set of volks if insurance covers it

Turbo90Accord4DR 09-11-2004 05:17 PM

Re:my 9/11 morning so far

thats not true, just yesterday i was at the honda dealer, 2 si's with 5 lug sitting right their, thats why i said that.

Re:my 9/11 morning so far

thanks for all the support guys. i really do appreciate it. as for fingerprinting the jack and handle. the police basically told me not to waste their time in not so many words. "it would be too difficult to get prints off it because of its' shape, the prints would be distorted" yeah, yeah. i guess it doesn't qualify as a real crime for them.

as for replacements, i will have to wait and see what the claims adjuster says when he comes on monday. hopefully they will just cut me a cheque. there is a place local that sells stuff pretty cheap, i will probably end up going there, but thanks for the offers steve and spoonfed.

they are 4x100's. honda changed them the following year to 5's. the problem is the 4's fit everything older and it is the punks who decide to jack them.

thanks all for the words of encouragement.
aaron

Re:my 9/11 morning so far

So what constitutes a finger printing? Does somebody have to die? Why the ---- not take fingerprints? If they have a way of catching these shitbags, why not do it? Letting them get away with it is just going to get more ---- stolen from other people. Then our insurance rates go up, which is another reason I don't have insurance(let's not start that argument).

It doesn't make sence. The only thing I can think of is the cops are lazy. When I was like 10 I vandalized some property at an Equestrian estate my mom owned horses at. They took fingerprints off a bottle trhat was left behind, but couldn't figure out who's they were. All they knew was they were from a young person. They questioned another kid that I did it with and the ----- narked himself off along with me. ::) If he hadn't have told they wouldn't have caught us. I can't believe they would take fingerprints off a bottle that was used in vandalizing a couple hundred dollars worth of property, but they won't take fingerprints from a theft of a couple thousand dollars. :-\

This guy is almost too desperate to sell them, and he's willing to sell them for real cheep.

Its funny how he's not a full time member, has only 48 posts and how he posted that up the same day that this thread was made. i would seriously check him out.

Also, its funny how when he picked the picture for his ad, he even got the color of the car right, i'm not saying he's guilty, because no on proved ---- yet, but its funny how everything comes together.

He also gave some guy a number that didnt work, he wont give out his phone number.

Yeah man.. this really sucks. Go ahead and try to go with the lead of the jacks, and look out for some idiot runnin around with your rims. I would also lookout for that guy trying to sell the same rims that you had. Good luck anyways man.
