i am very unedcuated when it comes to automotive anything. ive had my hands on building 3 world champion, winged outlaw sprint car motors with my uncle. he was the brains of them, but i was the hands to put it all together. i am very unedcuated.

now im learning the import FI thing...but I dont know anything.

what are you talking about? i like any car that is fast, just b/c i've never owned a domestic v8 or any domestic car fo that fact, doesn't mean i say they're slow, i clearly said stock mustangs, whether it be a gt or a mach 1 in stock form are a good match for a turbo'd 4 cyl. but even the slightest mods such as the usual i/h/e bump the hp up drastically. i clearly just stated that modded v8's are much faster than our puny stock 4 cyls with a turbo slapped on

i kind of though i was defending them, but just like any scene, the domestic scene has it's 'ricers' also, and those are they guys we're talking about that think there stock gt is the fastest car in the world.

the worst part is I wasn't whining about it, I was saying I thought it was funny. I agree that a stock 4 banger aint much compare to most mustangs. The only impressive 4 banger out there is the s2k engine that could compete against the mustang GT. Really you have to put the V8 against the Inline 6 imports like the supras and Skylines or the 350z and the new Honda HSC which are very powerful V6 engines. Also Its funny how you said that the corvette would get beat by the SVT but you must realize Random that the mustang aint NA. Take that blower off and i bet you the Chevy V8 is much more powerful than the Fords V8. Or better supercharged the corvette to make it even against the SVT. Its kinda unfair. I dont hate mustangs either. :P

I just went to turn in one of our vehicles, and was talkin to this "hot rod guy" about his "super fast, 13 sec, 75 shot of nitrus 67 impala. I love to smoke these little honda's running around town" i responded, i know an all motor crx that will make you look like a ------ hole in the road, and i know a turbo si civic that will make you wonder what the hell just happened, which do you wanna race first.

lol. my view on the V8/import debate is this:
a long time ago, V8's were really the only thing there were parts for, so people didnt ---- with older civic's/rx7's/celica's, ---- like that. V8's were so abundant, people knew how to tune them, it was the thing to do. then the fad came, and someone really went 10sec in a import and the scene has been there ever since. Yes you get stereotyped with your civic, or whatever, but my dad says he got stereotyped with his chevelle back in 1970 also. it comes with the hobby.

So now the V8/import is clashing, because something new is taking over. I say, do whatever suits you. I love imports just as much as an old SBC built to high hell. If I have a civic and i know i can run with a vette, i wont back down. the guy in the vette wont talk ---- if you can hang with him, i promise.

Slow and fast are all relative subjects. A mustang is built to go fast, a honda is not.

Saying a car is slow or fast should be relative to what car it is. A vette that runs 14.0 flat is slow for a vette, but defintly not slow compared to most other cars on the road.
