Re:Music...
I listen to a lot of ska, mainly older local New England bands. Past couple of days I've been listening to this band "Supreme Beings of leisure." Music in a similar vein would be Soul Coughing mixed with FSOL.
Downset is some hot streetcore, local band Concrete christiona streetcore. I saw the underground hip-hop group atmosphere in providence this month, they did an all turntable cover of RATM's "Killing in the name of," broke my nose in the pit. Common Rider is some sweet emo/punk/ska-riffs arangment, former members of OpIvy. Not a huge emo/screamo/indie fan, I didn't really grow up on guitar rock, so I lack a certain musical range there. Rap Music. For as many years as I've listened to it, I've pretty much turned my back on it, it's failing to innovate, and it's parasitic effect on black culture, and it's wholesale embrace by the elements of white-culture that I hate.... soured me. That said: Wyclef xzibit wu-tang the roots j5 beatnuts And the STATE of HIP-HOP right now: Brother Ali Non-Prophets aka Sage Francis Zion I Unclassifiable wierdo music: www.grandbuffet.com -PHiZ |
