Muffler question
Okay i have been researching quite a bit about which muffler to use on my Honda. Something to make it as quiet as possible with the 3" exhaust, it has killed too many brain cells.
A muffler shop suggested i go with a Magnaflow muffler because they have a straight through design and surprisingly muffle the noise very well. They also told me I should go with a round design because its an import, what is the significance of this? Also, i noticed that the smaller diameter mufflers are more expensive. why is this? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Muffler question
flowmaster super 40

Re: Muffler question
as far as i know flowmaster sucks for turbo... I had the delta 60 on mine, and when i took it off the turbo spooled started to spool 1000 rpms earlier, and hit full boost faster...
However if you dont care about spool time, then the flowmaster dose give a good tone, and sound quality |
Re: Muffler question
I hate chambered mufflers on hondas.

I've got a summit turbo and a cut-out. Best of both worlds |
Re: Muffler question
I like my flowmaster, but like said before it kills spool time. Im gona do the throttle body cut out too. I only saw about a 500 rpm differance jwhith the exhaust on, but taht was only at 12ish lbs though. Im sure with 20+ psi it would make a huge bottle neck.
