Is it true that Ferarri engines spontaniously combust? Maybe they have Nology wires. :P But if they're fastened securely then it should be cool right? It's not hard to screw something... errrr screw... um yeah. Boobs. ::)

huh? what? oh sorry I lost concentration. I was staring at something. Anywho. My friend has MSD and they are the ---- as far as fitment. But he can't tell a difference in gains if there are any at all. Go with the msd and spend the rest of the money on something useful. like a turbo.

If you have the chance, I've posted this elsewhere. Test the resistance in between each wire (if they'll let you take them out of the box) whichever set has lesser resistance is going to deliver a higher voltage to the spark plug - delivering faster response.

The generic reason for replacing plug wires in the first place is that the resistance becomes increased from wear and that the voltage drops to much and the plug doesn't fire with the accurate amount of power.

MSD and Nology both have good reputations, but I always stick to OEM wires - and I have never had a problem with them.

good point about whipping out the DVM and doing some ohm testing in store, I should have been doing that all along.

otherwise, I just stick to what I know.. last time I bought plug wires was for my brother's 97 eclipse gst, like around 50-60 bucks for the premium lifetime warranty, and when he wanted me to change spark plugs for him, I purosely broke the wires so I could put fresh ones in (the dummies at autozone and their warranties).

well I can tell you I know of two people, myself included, that won't be buying any accel wires, THOSE TRULY SUCK ----!
one year and the resistance jumped through the roof. now there in the trash. and they came in rice yellow too. :P

Well that's just a load of ----. Low-resistance does NOT equal higher performance. And when you measure the resistance with your DMM, you're only measuring DC resistance @ 1V. You've got AC voltage going through your wires at 20kV; the skin effect applies here. Also, with supposed "low-resistance" wires comes lack of noise suppression.

As I was taught in automotive school this is how we tested the spark plug wires to see if they were good or not. So I'm not going to take your word over my professors nor my books.

OEM.

My friend went to the Hondata seminar and they recommend not using anything but OEM.
