MSD or Nology?
Would MSD ignition wires be better or Nology hot wires. Or is there a way you can ground the enging better like hyperground except with just wires instead of buying the ----? Like, you know, stay on a budget?

Re:MSD or Nology?
i dont think there is much difference, but Nology might be better or MSD.

Re:MSD or Nology?
excellent question man
if anyone has any ignition wire secrets, let us know. I think the nology are advanced since they have that capacitative feature, but i don't care much for the sticker price. on most of the cars i work on I get the bosch premium brand wires for oem replacement, i've always been a big fan of bosch products for any car.. but for high performance compact cars let us know what's up. |
Re:MSD or Nology?
Yeah, the new nology wires are about 200 bucks
|
Re:MSD or Nology?
i heard nology was the ----, but oem is fine.

Re:MSD or Nology?
::) OOOOh. booooobs...

Re:MSD or Nology?
Nology are known to start engine fires if I remeber right if they're the one's with the ground wires. If the ground wires ever come loose or off they arch and become a hazard

Re:MSD or Nology?
------- sweet! screw that then, i am not messing with that.

Re:MSD or Nology?
those are some gorgeous boobs... yea not related to the post but shiet couldnt keep my eyes off them!
Edit: Fine, I'll post something related... I like NGK wires... |
Re:MSD or Nology?
I don't think your gonna see much of a difference no matter what you get. :-\ There may be small differences in wires, but I'm not convinced.

Re:MSD or Nology?
Is it true that Ferarri engines spontaniously combust? Maybe they have Nology wires. :P But if they're fastened securely then it should be cool right? It's not hard to screw something... errrr screw... um yeah. Boobs. ::)

Re:MSD or Nology?
huh? what? oh sorry I lost concentration. I was staring at something. Anywho. My friend has MSD and they are the ---- as far as fitment. But he can't tell a difference in gains if there are any at all. Go with the msd and spend the rest of the money on something useful. like a turbo.

Re:MSD or Nology?
If you have the chance, I've posted this elsewhere. Test the resistance in between each wire (if they'll let you take them out of the box) whichever set has lesser resistance is going to deliver a higher voltage to the spark plug - delivering faster response.
The generic reason for replacing plug wires in the first place is that the resistance becomes increased from wear and that the voltage drops to much and the plug doesn't fire with the accurate amount of power. MSD and Nology both have good reputations, but I always stick to OEM wires - and I have never had a problem with them. |
Re:MSD or Nology?
good point about whipping out the DVM and doing some ohm testing in store, I should have been doing that all along.
otherwise, I just stick to what I know.. last time I bought plug wires was for my brother's 97 eclipse gst, like around 50-60 bucks for the premium lifetime warranty, and when he wanted me to change spark plugs for him, I purosely broke the wires so I could put fresh ones in (the dummies at autozone and their warranties). |
Re:MSD or Nology?
well I can tell you I know of two people, myself included, that won't be buying any accel wires, THOSE TRULY SUCK ----!
one year and the resistance jumped through the roof. now there in the trash. and they came in rice yellow too. :P |
Re:MSD or Nology?
just get cheap ngks or oems

Re:MSD or Nology?
As I was taught in automotive school this is how we tested the spark plug wires to see if they were good or not. So I'm not going to take your word over my professors nor my books.

Re:MSD or Nology?
OEM.
My friend went to the Hondata seminar and they recommend not using anything but OEM. |
