MSD BTM ? And install?
I want to install my msdbtm, but have no knowledge of how to install. I also wanted to know is it difficult to install. I don't know to much about mechanic work but i'm willing to give it a try. Any info would be good. Do i need any of the ignition stuff to go with this install? Thanks in advance.

I ran into the same problem with my BTM install. I didn't know about the wiring. It's very easy. Just call up MSD's customer service line and they'll help you in a matter of seconds. Get a pen and paper ready, they'll tell you where to wire in BTM.

---- I'm lazy.
I did the install a few weeks back and planned on posting pics and a writeup, but I havent gotten to it yet. It is really simple once you get down to it. I am on my home computer and my pics are on my work computer. Give me until tomorrow and I will see what I can whip up. Its a simple 4 wire job. I will at least write up where the wires go.

Re:MSD BTM ? And install?
to instal the btm,
tap the red wire into the black and yellow one,
cut the green wire, the lower half connects to the white wire off the btm, the orange wire connects to the top half of the green wire, off the igniter,
its very easy.

OK. I managed to get one pic done.
So, mount the BTM wherever you want, I chore the firewall directly behind the IM. Then you can run the wires for the remote right to the cabin from there.
Before I start let me say that this is for the universal BTM, the one that worsk with stock ignition.
Take off the cap and rotor, along with the coil cover. put the coil cover inside the cap, and drill your hole for the wires through both of them at the same time so you know they will line up perfectly (I used a 5/8 inch hole, you could probably go a lil smaller).
The wiring looks like this http://turbod16.com/album_page.php?pic_id=1445
There is a white/blue wire going from the ICM to the - on the coil, just unclip that completely.Run the white wire to the spot on the ICM where you just removed the white/blue. Run the orange BTM wire to the - on the coil. Tap the red wire onto the +coil where the black/yellow wire resides. I just put a fitting on mine and attached it to the +coil alng with the yellow/black rather than splicing it into the wire itself. Connect your ground to something and you are good to go.
The problem I had with my install was that I left some slack wiring inside the cap. When I started the car up the rotor cut through the white wire, and my car ran like ----. Make sure you take all of the slcak out of the cap area.
