it very well may be, but honestly the bikes not worth 10k. you can get 2004-2005's for that much

Why wouldn't something have a title? Maybe stolen?

Anyways... I had a 1985 GPZ 750 turbo for my first bike. Easy as hell to work on, and with a few minor tweaks, will rape the piss out of any late 90's 600. Mine with my fat ass (270) ran a 11.3 with stock internals @ 33000 miles. I sold it 2 years ago, and regret doing so everyday I see the sunshine.

There are folks out there that have gotten them into the 9's with some mod's. Just a thought.

id definatly make sure you get somethign that doesnt need any work and is in good running condition

you dont want something getting fucked up while riding it and making you crash

this was my 92 cbr f2 that i had. i got it with a lil over 19,000 miles on it. bike was in mint condition( i took off decals cause i planned on painting it). if your gettin an older bike like the f2 or f3 try to find one with less then 20,000 miles on it. they usually say once you put 20,000 miles on it its time to get a new bike. anything over 20,000 miles and i would be askin for service paper work especially on older bikes. i'm probably gonna get a gsxr 750 this summer, but i really like riding my f2. i know i'll get another one in the near future cause they are fun little bikes

Just like cars it all depends on how beat on the bike is how many miles. show some pateince look around and you'll find a good deal something like a 99 cbr 900 in your price range.

That's so true. I've rode a couple motorcycles so didn't think my friends puny yz250 (with mods) would be too bad.

Well 30 seconds later, and a little too much throttle, the bike was vertical while I was giving it more and more throttle just trying to hold onto the bike (friend calls it UTA for Unintentional Throttle Application ::)). Once I saw the clean parked Corvette Stingray coming closer at a quick pace, I decided it was time to let go. Not sure how, but the bike fell backwards and broke a brake lever, I flew forwards about 15-20 feet, rolled, and stopped the roll on my feet. Then the pain set in.

Was pretty awesome though, I want one now.
