so I hate traffic and i've been thinking.. i live in CO where it is illegal to lane share but i happen to do it sometimes if traffic sucks and im in a hurry.. anybody know what kind of a ticket id get for that if i start doing it 3x a week during rush hour? trying to figure out if itd be worth the insurance in winter.. oh ps dont want to hear about snow, it snows like twice a month here in the winter and is gone the next day

Clarify what you mean. There is no way I'd ride between a group of cars going 25mph at 50mph. If the cars are basically moving at 10mph or less, then I would think about riding between lanes. Overall I'm a very cautious rider and realize if I get hit by a car, I'm in the hospital. I'm pretty selective about what I choose to do on my bike.

i think the laws vary from state to state i see alot of vid of guys doing in cali but most of the time traffic is almost at a standstill or going vary slow....you wouldnt catch me doing it but what ever floats your boat,,,,

I've always called that "splitting traffic" or "splitting lanes" It's a helluva alot scarier when one lane is traveling in the oposite direction as you. I think here is was considered reckless operation which is a 6 point violation. It would probably depend on the cop writting the sitation though. But, if you willing to split lanes because traffic is bad, then you shouldn't worry about stopping for a cop to site you anyway because are you really going to stop?? It's really not worth the risk in either situation, even though I have done it in the past.

Cali is the only state where it's legal, but I do it all the time only when cars are stopped or
going really slow. Like under 20mph.

well i just ride on the left shoulder if traffic is at a standstill, right now i gotta go downtown three times a week and rush hour is ------- me there and back... Its illegal in CO but i thought it would be an illegal lane change or some bs ticket like that.. i know it depends on the cop but.. ---- i dont want to mess around if its going to get my license taken away.

and about running, my bike runs 10-11 seconds 1/4 mile stock, top speed is around 160-170 id love to see a crown vic come anywhere near that but Motorola is still faster than that... and they got cameras all over his bitch, not an option scary as ---- too
