motorcycle carburators on a car?
I'm going to try it, no matter what anyone says. So I need to know, what inline-4 motorcycle came with the highest flowing carbs? 91-97 GSX-R has 40mm round slide mikuni's, anything bigger out there?

use any one from the 1k motors or up. most people go injector itb because they can choose how much cc injectors they want to install. where as a caberator, you'll have to find the right floats, jets, and nossles to suit the aplication.
use any 1 k carberator you can find.

I don't think the carbs will take much setup work. I used to think they would, but then I realized all the Edelbrock carbs you see at autozone and ---- are pretuned. The only thing that effects a carb's tuning is the restriction to airflow before it (ex: air filter) so a set of carbs with a jet kit for pod air filters should be fine.
If it does take much setup work it's not hard on CVcarbs. The only things that need adjusting are the jets and the needle, and I'll probably take it to a local bike shop and pay them to do it

Well if their mikuni carbs you'll have to get the pilot jet right for idle and part throttle then the right size main jets for wot. after that fine tune with the needle clip settings.
I used to do this on dirt bikes just by feeling how the bike runs watching the exhuast and reading the plugs it'll be the same with a car. if you use a wideband it'll be even easier. for proper a/f
But what type of fuel punp and fuel pressure will you use to feed the carbs. with the FI ITB setup you just use stock but with a carb you won't run nearlly as much fuel pressure and it won't be a feed return to the tank setup like on a stock honda.
One other question would be how will the ecu run the timing and spark side of things. you'll have to rig a tps and feed the map vacuum.
