Misc. 4AGZE Pics
No one else to show it to...
I couldn't resist...
I already painted my valve covers black, but wanted to paint the letters red. Hand painting 'em would look ghey, so I had to improvise...
Using a carbon steel fan brush + dremel:
I was gonna go for the polished look...but that'd be too blingy for me..
Thought I'd take a peek at my rod bearings...
This one is disappointing...that dark green..yea...gas diluted oil:
There's a couple hairs on the bearings that makes 'em looked gouged...not so.

Re:Misc. 4AGZE Pics - *Finished!*
Call me crazy but....
The cam covers were already painted black. I wanted to paint the letters red. I decided on spray painting 'em. So, I masked off an area and sprayed the letters. Then, I wiped the excess red off the covers.
Now...how do you repaint the top part of the covers w/out covering the red? (the letters are embossed btw).
I tried a few different things. For the first cover, I used water, sprayed the cover black and then popped the bubble:
For the second cover, I wanted to see if I could do it differently. I tried wax, that failed miserably. Then I tried baking flour; bleh...
So, I went back to using water. Long story short...

Re:Misc. 4AGZE Pics
Nice very nice. The way I would have just done up the red letters, is by either buying a red paint marker, or using finger nial polish and doing it up.
Either way I would have done it by hand. Or even get the red spray paint, spray it into a 'dish' and get a little paint brush and go crazy.
But there is another approach I just though of, hobbie shops should have this masking solution, wthat's liquid and you could mask off stuff like with masking tape but with a lot more percision and accuracy.
But yeah, I'm too late and you already done and it looks good!
