either way.. i meant 100% safe in terms of you cant get viruses through it. i.e. download a song and it turns out to be a virus

i have been on irc for 7-8 years and everything you have just said is total BS, most .rar,.zip,.exe are virus's/trojans/spyware/bots and anything else someone would want to infect you with

as for getting caught on irc by the riaa is also total b/s, when you log into irc it logs your ip and the servers log ever thing you do, so the riaa can request for the log and trace your ip.

noobs like you need to rent a gun and buy a single bullet

sorry for posting in a dead thread but everyone should know that irc isnt safe, you have a slim chance of getting caught but you are not 100% safe

so whens the last time you downloaded something off of irc and it turned out to be a virus ive downloaded thousands of files.. and NEVER had a fake, NEVER had a virus.

like the people that run the channles are going to give up the logs? there are warning for riaa people in every room. telling them to ---- off and that theyre tresspassing on private rooms

mirc is safe.. show me one person who got caught downloading ---- off of mirc.. let alone running an irc server... now show me one person whos been infected through mirc.. and im not talking about someone retarded enough to click a link sent to him by spammers that log into mirc and mass pm links to viruses

Welcome to like a year ago. i use to use this method to get all the movies i have now and half of them work. But fyi for the rest that are starting to do this. the DL is kinda slow.... it can take over night to dl 1 full 900MB movie. and some of the files might be traced/virus infected. so watch what you DL
