I don't know if I'd feel comfortable revving it out to 8200 RPMs on a stock bottom end. Unless you're going to take care of the rest of the motor or limit the RPM range (and consequently the power too) then I'd get it without the VTEC parts.
But if you wait to install all the VTEC ---- along with an upgraded bottom end (higher CR pistons, rods, etc etc) then it might be worth it to get them. However if you want to boost it, get the block sleeved.

yea, im not planning a big project with it so no boost or sky high reving. prolly gonna limit it between 7200 and 7500. maybe someday upgrading the bottom end. but this would be my daily driver, couldnt afford not to sell my current car. if im not mistaking isnt the b20 just a factory bored out b18, some body told me they use the same base block.
