|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
----, sorry. is asking 3500 obo. hes also willing to sell for 2500 with out all the vtec parts
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
I'd buy it, its a good deal
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
what do u think about the motor, not familiar with b20s. would it be to many problems to put the b16 head on it.
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
nah it will be just like an LS/VTEC
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
CRVTEC....same thing should be a lot torquier, but I guess they say the b20 is a little weaker for boost than an LS.
Not a bad price for the car. Get all the Vtec parts, already cleaned and ready to install, and cheap for $1000. |
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
buy that ----, just dont boost it, you will brack a sleeve. ask jeff, his crvtec turbo hauled ass till it cracked the sleeves
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
I think its a good deal.

I thought it would be with the decent displacement and small high-flowing head... If you want me to, I'll take my question back. :-[ |

Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
b16 head with a b20 block. hmmm...sounds familiar to me. ohh yeah. im building one.
golden eagle makes a kit that easily installs the head. |
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
I don't know if I'd feel comfortable revving it out to 8200 RPMs on a stock bottom end. Unless you're going to take care of the rest of the motor or limit the RPM range (and consequently the power too) then I'd get it without the VTEC parts.
But if you wait to install all the VTEC ---- along with an upgraded bottom end (higher CR pistons, rods, etc etc) then it might be worth it to get them. However if you want to boost it, get the block sleeved. |
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
yea, im not planning a big project with it so no boost or sky high reving. prolly gonna limit it between 7200 and 7500. maybe someday upgrading the bottom end. but this would be my daily driver, couldnt afford not to sell my current car. if im not mistaking isnt the b20 just a factory bored out b18, some body told me they use the same base block.

Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
I'd say screw the b16head and rock it b20 straight up. It'll be cheaper and saving money is good.
|
Re: might be buyin "new" car.......
well, so much for that. apparently a guy gave him some money to hold the car for him. so we'll see
